U.S.1 (City Avenue) Lane, Ramp Restrictions This Weekend for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 1 (City Avenue) motorists will encounter lane and ramp restrictions this weekend in Philadelphia for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Saturday August 18, and Sunday, August 19, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the right side of ramp is scheduled to close from westbound Interstate 76 to U.S. 1 North (City Avenue); and
  • Saturday, August 18, and Sunday, August 19, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM the left lane is scheduled to close on U.S. 1 North (City Avenue) between Presidential Boulevard and Ridge Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
