Meet Harris S. Fishman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MassMutual Greater Philadelphia.  Harris is a firm believer that in order to build long-lasting relationships with clients, one must also have to serve the local communities in which they live and work. He is an advocate for providing financial and literacy programs to families across the region and champions special needs families and their children.

It’s no surprise that his favorite project at work is MassMutual’s annual Special Needs Awareness Night. Over the last 13 years, they have hosted over 6,000 children, adults and their caregivers at their annual Phillies game night out. To incorporate more fun in their event, they can try games like W88.

Before working at MassMutual, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? When I was at school at University of Delaware, I owned and operated an on campus business selling balloon bouquets.

What is your proudest moment at work? Watching others achieve their true potential.

Do you have a favorite quote? The best is yet to come!

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Popcorn.

What did you want to be when growing up? A race car driver.

What do you always want to try and never did? A Triathlon.

Is there something you really like about working in the City Ave District? I really like the feeling of community and the support that each of the businesses lend to one another. The accessibility is great too!
