In 2014, we introduced a new event series, The Food Spot @ City Ave, bringing gourmet food trucks, music and entertainment to those living and working in the City Ave District. The City Ave District is looking into updating our One Call Now emergency notification system, adding the ability to send out urgent text message alerts to those who wish to receive them.
Information disseminated would be relative to public safety, notifying subscribers about critical incidents, last minute road closures, traffic hazards, etc. within the District. This service would not be used for anything other than emergency notifications. (There would be no solicitation, advertisements or similar messages.) This is a free service provided by the City Ave District, although charges for text messaging may apply depending on your carrier and phone plan.
