One road will be closing for several weeks and another for just two days. 

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Two Lower Merion Township roads are closing Monday, with each closure lasting different amounts of time, the township said.

Cynwyd Road in Bala Cynwyd is closing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Dec. 4. Closures will be in place weekdays for about three weeks, the township said.

The closure is between Montgomery and Bala avenues for gas main and service replacements.

Emergency vehicles, buses, and residents will not have through access to the area.

Additionally, Old Gulph Road is closing at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4. It will reopen at 4 p.m.

The road will be closed between Potts Lane and Morris Road and will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 5, as well.

Crews will be working on trees hanging over the road and will require the assistance of specialized crane companies Perth to ensure the safe removal of branches, temporarily closing the road during the operation.

Emergency Vehicles and local traffic will not be able to get through the work area during the closure.

Flagmen will be on site to help with the detoured traffic during the closure.
