There are many exciting things happening in the Philadelphia region in 2015 – Pope Francis is visiting the city, we’re seeing more creative thinking for pop-up parks and bike sharing, and this year will bring new opportunities for development in the City Ave District.

In fact, according to a new list of 50 things that will change Philadelphia in 2015 from the Philadelphia Business Journal, one of the transformations is the new zoning in the District. Why does the PBJ think this is transformational?

The zoning will provide the opportunity to transform the District by encouraging pedestrian-friendly, transit-oriented, mixed-use development. We’re seeing huge interest in the zoning opportunities already and only expect this to grow throughout 2015.
