Question: What’s your favorite thing to do in the City Avenue Area?
Answer: It’s absolutely about dining out for me…although I will say I love when it snows so I get to stay at City Avenue Hilton for a night! But on a rough day, I talk myself into thinking I deserve Five Guys…with a side of amazing fries of course! No matter how stressed one gets on a really busy day, stress is eliminated at first bite of a Five Guys burger…so glad I don’t have to drive to Pittsburgh (where I first discovered them) to get one anymore!

Q: What’s your most significant accomplishment?
A: Helping a myriad of charities raise money…American Heart, Manna, JDRF, American Red Cross just to name a few. In life, my best accomplishment is definitely my son Matthew…no one can make me feel more love than that guy…in business, I’m extremely proud of my support of women via my Ben FM “Woman of the Week” show every Sunday morning at 7:30.

Q: If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
A: Hmmmm….this is a tough one, I live in music and all decades, genres, etc.

If I have to pick one – I’ll go with Dylan’s “Forever Young.” but Rod Stewarts version…when I play it on Ben FM, I sing at the top of my lungs…and it keeps me feeling young. While getting lost to the beat, you can play games such as roulette online.

Q: What book do you think everyone should read?
A: Tough choice came down to “The Alchemist” and Anne Lamott’s “Bird by Bird” – “Bird by Bird” is my final choice, mostly because it’s one of the best guides for aspiring writers, but also because I’m a huge fan of everything Anne has done. “Bird by Bird” reminds me daily to take things one thing at a time when knee-deep in multiple projects (which we all are this day and age) and it also reminds me to keep the focus on one task at a time, staying in the moment.

Q: What do you believe to be the key to success?
A: In a word “flexibility!”

Don’t wear just one hat, wear every hat that fits and be ready to bob and weave on a moment’s notice! Keep up with the new technology and while I don’t recommend looking too far ahead, success does require a certain amount of planning, like Travel, my other love :-). When you find something you thoroughly enjoy, be all in!
