Meet Madison McCarron,  Sr. Community Manager at The Kelly Apartments (Cross Properties).

Madison strives to give residents the best living experience.  One of her favorite moments while working at The Kelly is seeing it transform from blueprint to a brand.

There is a great chance you may have already seen Madison,

since she is always a friendly face at many District events!

How did you first learn about The Kelly Apartments?

I love this industry and had been following along with new development projects in the Greater Philadelphia area. I was immediately inspired by Cross Properties’ vision of the NoBA District and reached out to a former colleague, who is now my direct supervisor, if she had any opportunities and here I am!

Before working at The Kelly Apartments, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Prior to getting involved with Property Management, I was an Activities Director for an Assisted Living Facility, which included driving a bus!

How has The Kelly Apartments helped you in your career development?

My experience with Cross has been extremely rewarding in that my feedback is valued and relied on during current and future development. In a lot of ways, my team and our residents are the “end-user,” so it’s nice working for owners and senior management that value our input. Being so hand-on has allowed me to learn and grow and I am so grateful!

If you could switch your job with anyone else within The Kelly Apartments, whose job would you want?

I wouldn’t! I enjoy being a team leader and facilitating growth with those on my team!

What are 3 words to describe The Kelly Apartments?

Chic, Boutique, & Home.

What drew you to The Kelly Apartments originally? And how has The Kelly Apartments changed since?

When I learned of the inspiration and essence behind The Kelly, I knew I could contribute to the overall vibe and message. I think we have stayed true to the integrity of Bala Village while providing an authentic, approachable, luxury experience!

What has been your favorite project at The Kelly Apartments?

Taking it from blueprints to a brand. The Cross Development team got it started for us, and with their platform, we have been able to translate the message to social media, outreach marketing materials, etc. and been consistent with our mission through our approach to onsite management.

What is your favorite part about working for The Kelly Apartments?

Our residents! At the end of the day, we care most about creating a beautiful place for our residents to call “Home.”

What is your proudest moment at The Kelly Apartments?

Our first move-ins are always exciting! When you spend months selling and painting a picture of what “Living the Kelly Life” will mean, the smile on the faces of our first residents moving in is so rewarding! Watching the “vision” become reality!

Do you have a favorite quote?

“Your smile is your logo. Your personality is your business card. How you leave others feeling after an experience with you becomes your trademark.” Jay Danzie

Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work?

I feel like my life is a series of embarrassing moments, all I can do is laugh through them!

How do you define success?

Not having the “Sunday Scaries.”

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Right now, the first thing that comes to mind is Sardis!

What did you want to be when growing up?

A psychologist.

What do you always want to try and never did?

Learn another language.

What is the first concert you attended?

Q Concert!

A lot- mostly surrounding suburbs of Philadelphia, but I am from Delaware.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

“Chief Stew” of a mega-yacht!

Is there anything special about City Ave that you can share?

I love that this area has so many local organizations, including CASSD! I think the constant effort to improve pedestrian access will help Bala Cynwyd and surrounding neighborhoods continue to thrive!
