LOWER MERION >> A proposed 173-unit apartment building that was rejected by the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners last month has once again gone before the township’s planning commission with modifications in the hopes of going for a new set of approvals.

The site is an old 1950s office building located at 9 Presidential Blvd. near City Avenue.

As it had in April, the project received a favorable recommendation at Monday night’s Lower Merion Planning Commission meeting. It was scheduled to go back before the Lower Merion Building and Planning Committee for a second try at its July 25 meeting. If approved, it could go the board of commissioners Aug. 1.
