Getting Around

Location, location, location.  That’s the appeal of being here.  Big city excitement can be found just blocks away. Ditto for the laid back atmosphere of our suburbs. It doesn’t really matter where you want to go, just know that getting around is easy.

By Car

Which direction are you coming from?

Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) is the east entrance to the District.

Route 1 (City Ave) provides access to Lancaster Avenue, Route 3 (West Chester Pike), and Route 476 (Blue Route) to the south and Lincoln Drive to the north.

Don’t forget, car-pooling is even easier.  Learn more about the Share-A-Ride program here.

Want to time your visit to beat the traffic?  See real-time traffic flow from 6abc Action News or PhillyTraffic.

By Bike

City Ave has numerous bike trails that give you the opportunity to explore our area while you get some exercise. There are miles of trails on both the Philadelphia and Lower Merion sides, making it easy to get around the District – for work or for fun.
