A favorite with locals and tourists alike, the bustling Reading Terminal Market on 12th and Arch streets is jam-packed with every type of food you can think of: Amish pretzels and pot pies, Italian pastries, vegan deli fare, Middle Eastern falafel and hummus, roast pork sandwiches, Cajun po’boys, Thai curries, seafood, and much more. Over 80 vendors are set up at the market, which turns 126 this year. But missing among those dozens of food purveyors is someone selling sushi.

That might be about to change. Philly.com reports that chef-restaurateur Yong Kim is in talks with Reading Terminal Market about opening a sushi stand. Kim is known for Bluefin in East Norriton and B2 in Bala Cynwyd. This would be his first Center City location.
